Saxa Vord Ltd was established to reverse the inevitable damage to the local community and economy that occurs when redundant military bases are closed and personnel and jobs disappear.

Over the past 10 years, Frank and Debbie Strang have regenerated the former RAF site at Saxa Vord, Unst into an award-winning tourist resort with year round self-catering accommodation, seasonal hostel and bar/restaurant. Saxa Resort has been offering homes from home since 2006 and every year we look forward to welcoming more and more people to Unst, the most northerly inhabited island in the UK.

Saxa Vord, welcomes guests from all over the world, but approximately 40% are from the Shetland Islands. We are delighted that we have so much local support as we continue to develop the site.
