About Us

Debbie and Frank Strang Saxa Vord is owned by Military Asset Management Ltd (MAM), a company established to reverse the inevitable damage to local communities and economies that occurs when redundant military bases are closed and personnel and jobs disappear.

MAM seeks to transform former bases into environmentally respected, socially vibrant and economically diverse new places.

Saxa Vord is being developed by MAM in partnership with Shetland Islands Council and Shetland Enterprise and with the support of the people of Unst.
